Our open grill
The fire is the soul of our kitchen
Our custom grill sits at the heart of the restaurant, where locally sourced ingredients are cooked over glowing coals. From expertly seared steaks and just-landed Brixham fish to smoky, flame-charred vegetables, every dish carries a bold, rustic flavour.
The gentle crackle of the fire and the scent of the grill make it more than a meal. It’s an evening to remember.

Our owners, Mark and Emily, spent 25 years as organic farmers and butchers in Devon, so we know exactly where good food comes from.
From the soil
Grass-fed meat from the South West
We source our meat from trusted South West farms, where animals are grass-fed, naturally reared and raised with care. Devon is home to some of the country’s best traditional and regenerative farms, producing high-welfare beef, lamb and pork with exceptional depth of flavour.
From the sea
Seafood straight from the source
Moments from our door, Brixham Fish Market is one of the UK’s most important fishing hubs. Every morning, day boats land their catch, from bass and hand-dived scallops to turbot, hake and lemon sole. Our seafood comes straight from these waters.

A hidden gem that feels like home
Exposed beams, soft lighting, the flicker of candlelight and the gentle hum of conversation. Whether it’s a quiet evening for two, a family gathering or a celebration with friends, the warm, intimate setting makes every visit feel special.
We welcome locals and hotel guests alike for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome, but we highly recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Pull up a chair by our double-sided log burner, which warms both the bar and the restaurant. Choose from local ales, a curated selection of organic wines and something special to finish.
Dogs are welcome too, on the dog-friendly side of the bar and restaurant.
